What you can expect to do here:
- Support the Investor Relations and Financial Planning & Analysis with the implementation and execution of the company investor relations program, and drive financial planning and analysis by partnering with key stakeholders to provide insights, support business decisions, and lead the monthly and quarterly reporting for a global company.
- Develop a strong knowledge and understanding of WSP's business and operating and financial performance
- Develop and maintain quarterly disclosure materials including press releases, presentations, fact sheets, conference call scripts, key messages, and Q&As for senior management
- Create thoughtful and innovative presentation content for investor meetings and conferences
- Track analysts and investor interactions, and generate reports for senior management
- Conduct analysis and present recommendations on ways to enhance disclosure
- Monitor and report on market trends, share ownership and peers
- Maintain and update information in the Investor Relations' section on the website and related pages, and recommend enhancements to improve disclosure and corporate image to external stakeholders
- Conduct peer group analysis, gather market intelligence and develop reports for senior management
- Monitor and report on research analyst investment ratings, target prices, earnings estimates and various other financial and operating metrics
- Organize and co-ordinate marketing activities, including the preparation of materials for investor conferences and roadshow trips
- Assist in the planning and coordination of investor events (e.g. AGM, investor days, site tours)
- Manage external suppliers
- Develop recommendations for the company's IR digital communications strategy and social media presence
- Support other various investor relations initiatives as required
- Budgeting, Forecasting & Business Partnering: Develop scalable budgeting tools and templates, collaborate with stakeholders to simplify financial insights, and monitor budget variances with regular reviews.
- Management Reporting & Financial Systems: Support consolidated reporting with clear variance narratives, track main business KPIs against budget, and enhance financial planning systems.
- Decision Support & Advisory: Provide financial analysis for strategic planning, develop business cases, and drive operational efficiency through risk mitigation and process improvements.
What you'll bring to WSP:
- Bachelor's degree in finance.
- 3 to 5 years of related experience in FP&A and/or investor relations
- Strong knowledge of financial statements
- Bilingual, with excellent oral and written knowledge of both English and French;
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong project management skills, highly organized, and comfortable working in a deadline-driven environment
- Must be a self-starter, able to work independently and as part of a diverse team
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and comfortable accepting new responsibilities
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines which can adjust to changing priorities
- Expertise in Microsoft applications, with an advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
