The VP, Global Total Rewards is responsible for shaping and executing a cohesive Global compensation strategy at WSP Global. This strategic role involves leading a team to guide and develop equitable compensation programs & structures across the regions, supporting talent attraction and retention while aligning with organizational goals. Through extensive market analysis, executive pay oversight, and collaboration with key stakeholders, the VP of Global Total Rewards ensures that pay practices align with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and financial sustainability. This role requires a deep understanding of global compensation trends, strong leadership, and the ability to translate data into actionable insights for optimizing compensation programs at all levels of the organization.

What you can expect to do here:
- Global Compensation Strategy: Design and implement a global compensation strategy aligned with the company's goals and competitive positioning. Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on all matters related to total rewards, providing insights and recommendations to drive business success.
- Market Analysis: Conduct regular market analysis and benchmarking to ensure competitive and equitable pay practices across regions.
- Executive Compensation: Develop and oversee executive compensation packages, including salary, bonuses, stock options, and long-term incentives in alignment with industry standards and shareholder expectations.
- Program Development: Design and implement comprehensive total rewards programs, including pay transparency, salary structures, benefits, incentives, wellbeing and recognition programs.
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure that compensation structures adhere to regulatory requirements and maintain compliance with regional and local labor laws.
- Compensation Policies: Lead the creation and communication of compensation policies, ensuring clarity, consistency, and adherence to best practices worldwide.
- Data-Driven Insights: Utilize compensation analytics to identify trends, forecast needs, and provide actionable insights for decision-making.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with HR, finance, and leadership teams to create and adjust compensation strategies and ensure alignment with overall business objectives.
- Budgeting and Financial Planning: Manage the global compensation budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources in line with company objectives and financial sustainability.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of compensation consultants, providing guidance and ensuring continuous development in compensation trends and regulations.
What you'll bring to WSP:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), Global Remuneration Professional (GRP), or other relevant HR certifications.
- Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in compensation management, with at least 5 years in a global or multi-regional role.
- Strong strategic advisory skills with a track record of influencing senior executives.
- Bilingual proficiency in French and English is required.
- Proven experience designing and managing executive compensation, including equity programs and long-term incentive plans.
- In-depth understanding of global compensation practices, labor laws, and market trends across various regions.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing compensation strategies that align with organizational objectives and financial goals.
- Strong understanding of financial metrics, budgeting, and the relationship between compensation strategy and company performance.
- Proven leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to mentor, develop, and lead a high-performing team of compensation professionals.
- Experience working closely with HR, finance, legal, and executive leadership teams to integrate compensation initiatives with overall business strategies.
- Strong communication and influencing skills, able to present complex compensation concepts clearly and persuasively to executives and stakeholders.
- Ability to lead change initiatives related to compensation, including implementing new programs, systems, or policies across a global organization.
