Meaningful work you'll be a part of
As a Business Analyst, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve business issues, deliver high quality client service and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Transformation engagements focused on the evaluation of current state, identifying improvement opportunities, preparation of transformation business cases, and development of future state processes
• Contribution to requirements gathering efforts through focus groups, interviews, and joint application design (JAD) sessions (including workshop preparation and facilitation)
• Capturing, defining, documenting, and maintaining detailed process maps using various software (ex. MS Visio, Lucid charts)
• Capturing, defining, documenting, and maintaining detailed business driven requirements
• Contribution to capability modeling, maturity assessment, and service definition
• Proactively identify areas and opportunities for improvement within new or existing business processes
• Research, benchmarking, and environmental/desktop scan of relevant topics and industry standard practice and trends
• Managing or supporting various project management requirements such as risk identification and management, schedule management (incl. Monitoring dependencies and critical path), and stakeholder engagement
• Leveraging data to perform various analysis and monitor, measure, or define key performance indicators
• Supporting preparation of reports, dashboards, and communication for various project stakeholders and senior leadership and defining user stories, journey maps, and use cases
Experience and skills you'll use to solve
• Reliability Status Security Clearance is mandatory for all staff engaged on these assignments. Prior to applying, please review the Government of Canada website to ensure you meet the eligibility requirements to obtain this clearance. This will become a condition of your employment with PwC should you receive an offer from us
• Previous experience of performing quality reviews preferably in the domain of business analysis along with a degree or college diploma is required
• Completed or working towards a certification such as Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP), Professional in Business Analysis (PBA), Agile Analysis Certification (AAC), or similar
• Knowledge in business process improvement techniques and ability to understand business objectives , operating models, and processes is required
• Knowledge in project management disciplines and working knowledge of various project management tools (ex. MS Project)
• In depth experience with MS Office Suite of tools (ex. MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and google suite and extensive knowledge of data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx etc
• Experience with virtual team collaboration applications (ex. MS Teams, Google Meet, Mural, Asana, Jamboard etc.)
• Teamwork and collaboration with internal and external teams
• Good communication skills (both written and oral)
• The successful candidate requires fluency in English, in addition to French as they will be required to support or collaborate with English-speaking clients, colleagues and/or stakeholders during the course of their employment with PwC Canada
