A career in our Emerging Solutions Analytics practice, within Risk Assurance Compliance and Analytics services, will provide you with the opportunity to assist clients in developing analytics and technology solutions that help them detect, monitor, and predict risk. Using advanced technology, we're able to focus on establishing the right controls, processes and structures for our clients to ensure that decisions are based on accurate information and assure that information provided to third parties is accurate, complete, and can be trusted.Our team helps business leaders develop into data driven organisations that adopt a comprehensive evidence based strategy, combined with the execution support to deliver results. You'll focus on finding value and enabling sustainable information performance by using data, tools, analytics, complex modelling, data visualisation, simulation, economics, optimisation, information management, business intelligence, and industry expertise.
Meaningful work you'll be part of
As an Internal Audit Manager, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve business issues, deliver high quality client service and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Working independently to manage internal audit engagements and projects, including conducting risk assessments and engagement planning, fieldwork and reporting
• Analyzing and assessing client business strategies and related business processes and systems to help their management understand and address business objectives, requirements, risks, controls, and improvement opportunities
• Managing relationship with client staff at all levels
• Preparing highly effective, value-added audit reports
• Serving as team leader on engagements, including reviewing all work performed by junior staff
• Managing the engagement economics and sole project budgets, schedule and resource allocation ensuring that all budgets, milestones and other deadlines are met
• Writing proposals and participating in industry and client specific targeting initiatives
• Monitoring staff utilization and coordinating engagement and project resource requirements
• Developing staff to progress in their careers, leading learning and development initiatives and performance management
• Leading presentations for engagement opportunities
Experiences and skills you'll use to solve
• Extensive experience with conducting internal audits and/or regulatory compliance
• Highly capable to manage strategic/annual planning, audit planning and execution, and all other aspects of the internal audit life cycle
• Demonstrated ability to document processes and controls, develop and execute testing programs, assess control design and operating effectiveness, and to provide recommendations for improvements
• Confidence for overseeing and managing multiple client engagements (with various size, scope and complexity), overseeing local and national technical or industry training
• Demonstrated success identifying and implementing opportunities to improve on delivery, quality and efficiency
• CA, CPA, CIA, CISA
• Ability to carry out multiple tasks in a dynamic and constantly changing environment
• Exposure to data analytics and visualization tools
• Strong commitment to providing excellence in client service and a demonstrated ability to produce high quality results
• The successful candidate requires fluency in English, in addition to French as they will be required to support or collaborate with English-speaking clients, colleagues and/or stakeholders during the course of their employment with PwC Canada
