We're looking for a motivated, detail-driven, and enthusiastic individual to join our Vocational Rehabilitation Services team as an Information Support Clerk. In this dynamic role, you'll play a key part in gathering, processing, and presenting important information, all while supporting our managers and director with various clerical tasks. This is a temporary role for 18 months.

How you'll make a difference: You'll help people who've been injured on the job return to work.

Where you'll work
At WorkSafeBC, we offer a hybrid work model that combines working remotely, and in our offices based on the operational needs of the position.
  • Gather statistical information from a diverse group of internal and external clients, and process and present the information
  • Create and update information files for forms, templates, tables, charts, and reports requiring the use of databases, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Make recommendations for the selection of data fields and methods for data collection and participate in the creation of spreadsheets and databases
  • Compile monthly, quarterly, and annual statistical tables, and reports for departmental presentations
  • Maintain statistical databases, input data, and monitor to ensure the quality of the data received from both internal and external data sources
We're looking for someone who can:
  • Independently prioritize and manage a high volume of work
  • Clearly and concisely communicate and present information verbally to a variety of groups and individuals
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with internal clients
  • Pro-actively gather, process, and analyze information and determine relevant facts and make recommendations
Your background and experience
  • Strong organizational and office management abilities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficient knowledge and use of Word, intermediate Excel, and PowerPoint

Our benefits

  • Extra 4% of your salary in lieu of benefits and 4% in lieu of vacation from the day you start
Once you've worked a certain number of hours (approximately 12 months), you'll switch to getting:
  • Up to 4 weeks of vacation

  • Sick leave and long-term disability coverage

Salary: $28.07/hourly
