Your first responsibilities will be to fully grasp our business model and gain a deep understanding of our employee culture and various business functions in Quebec. Then you will have the opportunity to propose new ideas in the various HR cycles, ranging from performance management, recognition management, retention, leadership development, compensation management and employee satisfaction.

You have an eye for understanding human factors and take a keen interest in the various components of performance management and HR cycles and their impact on organizations. You'll leverage your experience and organizational knowledge to suggest bold initiatives to help elevate the HR function and the effectiveness of our business cycles.
Your main objectives will be to strategically support our managers and practice leaders to manage the various HR cycles, develop trusting relationships with them, play your advisory role judiciously and create a climate of trust with employees. You'll have the opportunity to work closely with our human resources team in Quebec, our national colleagues and particularly with our business unit leaders.
You'll act as an individual contributor and key influencer within the HR community and with Advisory Services managers in Quebec. You'll have the good fortune to be dedicated to this high-growth, fast-paced business line!

What you will do
- You'll champion the deployment and decisions made across our HR cycles, including compensation, performance management, organizational effectiveness, learning and development, employee relations and recognition
- Know your way around HR metrics? You'll champion our listening strategy for Advisory Services, using Qualtrix and Officevibe
- Keen on giving your opinion and using your business acumen? You'll be a privileged advisor and provide essential support to managers, practice leaders and employees
- Highly curious and a creative thinker? You'll create opportunities to influence the culture and direction of our HR practices, including diversity and employee wellness
- A natural-born team player? You'll work closely with the HR community in Montreal and KPMG's national HR community, thereby allowing you to have an impact and make your mark in the Quebec and national Advisory Services community
- You'll excel at leveraging the best of national KPMG initiatives with an eye for the specific needs of KPMG Quebec
- You'll understand the differences and intricacies of our Advisory Services practice and how to apply this knowledge throughout our HR cycles to maximize their impact in influencing employee performance
- You'll regularly work closely with the HR team: the recruitment team, the employee experience team, your colleagues in operations and talent management but also with various local operational teams, such as marketing and administration management
- 5-7 years of professional HR experience in a fast-paced competitive environment
- Intellectual curiosity, agility and sense of humour
- Superior communication skills, acumen and innovative thinking
- Ability to prioritize tasks for a wide range of colleagues and ease in meeting deadlines
- Willingness to develop your career and personal leadership through fun experiences and projects
- Comfortable dealing with a variety of niche specialty teams and employees at various levels, including senior management
- Confident, convincing communicator and at ease expressing your opinion in a tactful manner
- Critical thinking skills to challenge traditional approaches, and the curiosity and willingness to promote new approaches that will directly impact employee performance
- Proficiency in Excel intermediate level a necessity, ease in the Office suite, (other technologies an asset)
