The Opportunity:
Reporting to the Vice President, Project Controls, the Cost and Earned Value (EV) Specialist will be part of our Canadian Project Delivery team and will help establish the cost control, EV and change management function (community of practice), including the development and delivery of associated practices, governance, systems, tools, processes and procedures, based on best industry practices, in alignment with company's global and national goals and standards.

What you can expect to do here:
- Implement best practices and standardize cost & progressing & change management procedures across all sectors
- Work closely in parallel and collaborate with other Project Controls functional leaders: Estimating, Planning, Systems & System Integration.
- Establish and implement standardized documents and reporting formats for cost & progressing & change management, ensuring consistency and clarity in communication across projects Canadian Operations..
- a Lead and support the training and development, identify opportunities for improvement of cost & progressing resources
- Oversee the preparation and review of budgets for various projects, ensuring they are accurate, competitive, and aligned with client requirements and company standards.
- Facilitate effective communication and build strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for company and project objectives.
- Identify potential risks and issues related to cost, progressing and change management and develop mitigation strategies
What you'll bring to WSP:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cost management and progress tracking, program management, and policy development on design-related projects of different size, in a variety of different contracting models.
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in Engineering, or a related field.
- Knowledge of engineering projects, construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills with a deep understanding of cost, Earned Value and change management, budgeting, progressing and risk management principles.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and cost & project management information systems
- Ability to time manage and formulate plans to meet multiple deadlines within a high-pressure work environment.
- Membership in AACE and CCP accreditation is a plus
- PMI Certification is an asset
